This series of lectures is designed to start from the basics and provide an in dept understanding of free space optical sensors and their applications. The week will be cover topics such as LiDAR application scenarios, basic and advanced architectures, and their working principles, noise sources and their effect, LiDAR figures of merit and how to evaluate them .
